I have one dumbo rat named Twister(male) HE IS SOOO CUTE!!!!!!! By the way in some of your pic's I noticed that your rat was running on a wheel. Do you have to have a wheel for your rat? I've heard people say yes and no, so I don't know who to listen to. Anyway, Your rats are CUTE!!!!
My opinion, is that it's good to have a wheel, but you don't HAVE to have a wheel. A wheel is good because rats get good exercise on a wheel, but if you hold your rat enough, that should be enough exercise. Rats also often only use their wheel at night, so even if you think your rat doesn't use his wheel, he probably does. So if you don't have a wheel, it's O.K., but you should hold your rat often so he or she gets plenty of exercise.

This blog does rock! I have one rat named Winston, HE'S SOOO SWEET! Just saying that if you do have a wheel it should be solid, not a mesh wheel. I had a mesh wheel at first, my rat wouldn't use it because it's hard on their claws. That's all I wanted to say. This blog ROCKS!!!

What rats! I have a Rex rat and a Blue rat. They are both male, but they get along very well. But both of them are afraid of their wheel. Is that normal?

I have had a hairless rat and a blue rat they were both very lovable and funny. I adopted a male rat from my vet but after awhile he began to bite everyone. I didnt want to part with him so i put him in my room where my husband and kids could not get to him. I thought that he would calm down and relax. Now he is even biting me. What can i do i dont want him to be put down.
why do both of my rats sneeze ive tried changing the bedding and the cage often in case it's an allergie but they still sneeze alot

hi i really like ur blog its so helpful. I want to get a rat (or 5!!!) but mum says only if i pay for the cage (im broke by the way :P) or if i win this competition in PETS mag to win a three storey rat cage with all the food and stuff with it. Hi ratman! Your blog is so helpful. And your rats are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are dwarf rats hard to take care of? Are they the same size as mice? Do you have to handle them every day? How often do you have to clean two dwarf rats' cage?

My7 year-old sist3r wants a rat... i already have one. I know that she has to get the same breed as me. Is there a rat that is super easy to take care of? Or should i be looking for more than simply the same gender?
